I have just returned from diving the Northern Red Sea aboard Royal Evolution 9-16 July. I wish to pass my comments onto you and others to acknowledge the great time I enjoyed. The boat itself was comfortable, always clean and I wish to make special mention of the fantastic crew who looked after us at all times.
Unfortunately the weather was very windy and we didn't manage to dive all the wrecks as planned. However, both our guides, Ahmed and Nil Flottmann tried extremely hard re-arranging the itinerary to try and make the best use of the better days that were available to us. Unfortunately my first visit to the 'Thistlegorm' was not to be, as it was too exposed for us to visit, but we all totally respected the guides decision based on safety and the bad conditions thrown at us for this week.
The food and the housekeeping was excellent and all crew were extremely helpful in helping us kit-up before the dive and de-kit afterwards. We are not used to this in the UK but this was a nice personal touch onboard the Royal Evolution.
Both guides gave the best safety briefings I have ever seen and throughout the week always kept us informed, and entertained, which only added to our very enjoyable week. I would highly recommend Royal Evolution and hope to visit again one day.
Please pass on my comments, thanks and appreciation to all concerned.
yours sincerely,
Richard Nokes

Just a short and belated note to say thank you for a great trip in February. I have nothing but praise for the ship, the guides, the chef and the rest of the crew. The other guests also helped make this a pleasurable and memorable trip. The diving was great and I appreciated the way the guides accepted my personal diving limitations. :>)

Big Thanks to the complete crew of Royal Evolution for an amazing trip deep south (15. April 1010). This was my second time on Royal Evolution and if anything it has become better.
The diving was amazing with Hammerheards (including schools) on lots of dives in the South, and also at the classic sites like Angarosh and Shaab Rumi. Lots of Greys close up, Silkys etc
Big thanks to the crew (all doing a great job) and to Ahmed for his continued great enthusiasm in finding Hammers, I will never forget the way you point them out under water :-)
I will be back :-)
Best Wishes Till

Thanks to all the crew for an excellent trip to Sudan (april 1st to 14th 2010)! The hammerheads are still firmly printed in my memory. Diving was spectaculair, and besides that we really enjoyed the hospitality aboard the ship.
How's your arm doing, Cliff?

My fifth trip to Sudan, and my first with Royal Evolution. Hammerheads almost every day, sikys, and also a tiger! Fantastic reef quality deep south. Sha'ab Rumi was as good as it was ten years ago. Great boat and friendly crew (and guests). I'll be back.

The "Friedrich-Family" conquered Royal Evolution on 18 March 2010, set out (despite a heavy sandstorm) to Deep South and entered PARADISE... nearly all dives in Sudan with sharks, tons of fishes, clearly untouched reefs. Quite soon we found new friends and were now named the blue water group, following Ahmed faithfully to the Big Boys.
Our personal highlights were Dahart Abid (eagle ray), Habili No Name II (curtains of fishes between the buddys), Habili Dahart Quab (incl. nightdive with Silkies) & Sha'ab Rumi (in between 20+ hammerheads).
It would hard work to name all the positive points of the trip. The ship is, of course, above all others in the Red Sea, but without Captain Soliman, the fantastic Crew, the Chef Cliff (I could kill for your waffles!) and certainly Ahmed, being one of the best dive giudes we have ever met, it wouldn't have been the outstanding experience as it definitely was.
Being German (of course) we like to to praise the secuity standards and the environment protection on board.
Thank you for 2 unforgetable weeks. We had a lot of fun and we will certainly be coming back.

Just a note to say thank you to MV Royal Evolution's guides and crew for my trip in February 2010. This was an exceptionally well run ship and dive operation.
Senior Guide Ahmed set an excellent example for others to follow, providing us all with interesting information on every dive site and practical reminders on the health and safety aspects appropriate to safe diving from a live-aboard.
Guide Jose produced an excellent video of the trip, which will bring back memories of a great two week experience in the Sudanese Red Sea.
Finally, as a somewhat antique diver, I was impressed that the guides took this into account in a low- key but thorough way. Especially when I was fining /steaming into a current !!
40 dives on the trip. How's that then ??
Thanks again and best wishes to you all from David A.

Many thanks to Ahmed, Jose and crew for a great trip to the Sudan. Some very special diving with lots of Hammerheads, and the crew looked after all our needs very well. This was my second trip down South on Royal Evolution and it gets even better each time. We look forward to our next trip later in the year when we hope to see mantas galore - you have set the bar very high! Again very many thanks, keep up the good work.

Thanks Simon, Ahmed and team for the Royal Evolution experience. Loved diving with you and it was great to live it all again on film at the end of the day. I particularly liked the Umbria and the lack of crowds on the reefs, such a different experience to diving further north. Fantastic entertainment too - perhaps not all of it intentional, but I must have laughed more in a fortnight on board than I've done in years! And what a ship - kept in tip-top shape by the two Mustafas - it's going to be a real shock to go back to slumming it in Scotland (much as I love it there). Appreciate the efforts of the rest of the crew, too, who did everything they could to keep us safe and comfortable. As for the chef, give the man a medal! I truly envy the divers who'll be joining you on your next expedition...
